Lenape:pahkàntama
Comments
This was only done at a War Dances. When someone struck the post the drum was stopped and the person told his or her tale of valor. This was only done by someone who had killed an enemy. While it was rare for a woman to do this it was not unknown, and was done as late as the early 1900s.
